Qualifications

1. Operate Makino MMC (pallet pool), including loading & unloading fixtures, cleaning debris from parts, performing and verifying quality checks, and handling materials to keep all CNCs operational.
2. Check, maintain, repair, sharpen, replace, and monitor the inventory of machine cutting tools for each machine.
3. Identify machine and/or tooling issues and collaborate with the supervisor, tool room, maintenance, or engineering to resolve problems.
4. Serve as a technical lead for operators in the machine shop.
5. Assist in training new operators.
6. Act as a back-up to the supervisor, completing essential tasks in their absence.
7. Coordinate with Engineering on new parts and continuous improvement projects.
8. Move materials within the plant and document through SAP.
9. Understand technical part prints and develop tooling plans based on those prints.

Education and/or Experience

Required:

• A high school diploma and 5 years of machine shop experience.

Preferred:

• Technical certification in machine shop operations.
• Knowledge and experience with Makino equipment & tooling.
• Experience in continuous, 24-hour operations and SAP.
• MMC (pallet pool) experience.
• G-Code programming experience.

Compensation

Starting at $31.45 per hour, mid-range at $37.00 per hour, up to a maximum of $42.55 per hour. Plus, a $3.00 per hour shift premium.
