Fresh Express Salads is seeking a Machine Operator for the 2nd shift (4:15 PM - finish) at our facility in Columbia, SC. The role involves independently operating packaging machines, ensuring product quality, and adhering to GMPs and safety policies.

You will perform changeovers, monitor specifications, complete required forms, and participate in process improvements. A strong attendance record and ability to work in a cold environment are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to perform basic math (add/subtract/multiply/divide/percentages).
• Ability to read, speak and write English at work level.
• Must pass a written test to demonstrate proficiency.
• GMPs and PPE adherence.

Aufgaben

• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Comply with SOPs, GMPs, housekeeping and FE policies.
• Inspect codes, dates, leaks, oxygen levels, and seals on equipment.
• Complete safety, food safety, production and maintenance forms.
• Participate in process improvements or new product testing.
• Report equipment malfunctions immediately.
• Report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Independently run and support designated packaging machines.
• Assist higher level operators as needed.
• Execute machine changeovers for packaging materials and printers.
• Ensure correct date coding and bag labeling.
• Plan supplies for upcoming products; keep area clean.
• Cross-train and assist teammates; support during breaks.
• Be able to lock out machinery after LOTO training.
• Possibly advance to Operator II after 1 year.
• Work cooperatively to maintain quality standards.
• Ensure produced products meet quality specs with various measurements.
