Job summary

Carpenter Co. in Lakeland, FL is seeking a Machine Operator B for the Bedding Department on 2nd shift to safely operate production equipment according to a daily schedule.

The role requires a high school diploma, prior machine-operator experience, forklift certification, and flexibility for overtime and weekends; you will maintain quality and production documentation and support cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Prior experience as a machine operator.
• Ability to work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate cutting/packing machinery per programs and specs.
• Perform quality checks to meet customer specifications.
• Unload and transport finished material to next area.
• Maintain communication with line personnel to minimize downtime.
• Record program information and maintain production documentation.
• Label packages accurately in Bedding and stock areas.
• Pull labeled material and transport to docks for shipping.
