Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Machine Operator - Assembly for 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3pm–11pm) with overtime and weekend as needed. The role focuses on efficient machine operation, alarm response, parts feeding, and quality traceability in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting alarms, operating label printers, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. Prior experience in manufacturing and knowledge of basic hand tools are required.

Qualifications

• Requires high school education or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including overtime and weekends.
• Ability to work in a team and rotate shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machines and monitor alarms to keep lines running smoothly.
• Fill hoppers and feed parts to prevent outages; ensure feeders do not run out of parts.
• Troubleshoot alarms and clear fault codes to minimize downtime.
• Maintain clean and organized assembly area and adhere to safety policies.
• Load and operate label printer; complete traceability log sheets.
• Support other departments and back up teammates as needed.
