Custom Engineering Co. in Erie, PA is seeking 1st and 2nd shift full-time Machine Operators with steel industry experience. The role offers an hourly rate up to $24.00 with a $2.00 shift differential and standard benefits.

You’ll gain hands-on exposure to metal fabrication and opportunities for growth based on performance. Responsibilities include setting up machines, measuring with calipers and micrometers, and inspecting tolerances while studying blueprints and procedures.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals and calculate tooling speeds/feeds.
• Prior machining experience.
• Knowledge in general machining practices.

Responsibilities

• Set up and remove work pieces from a machine per procedure
• Proficiently use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators and gauges to ensure conformance of specified tolerances
• Ability to perform in-process inspections at a machine and adjust various offsets to ensure conformance of workpieces as required
• Position and secure workpieces on machines using measuring instruments, holding devices, hand tools, and cranes
• Study blueprints, lay outs, sketches, and work orders to determine tolerances and work procedures
• Ability to recognize tooling types -- facemill, drill, taps, etc.

We are currently seeking 1st and 2nd shift Full-time Machine Operator with experience in the steel industry to join our team at our Erie, PA location. The position offers an hourly rate of up to $24.00 BOE (Which includes our $2.00/Hr shift differential) and the benefits shown below.
