Machine Operator – 2nd Shift Location: Dallas, TX Pay: 19.00/hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:45 PM (with overtime as needed) Be visionary Job Description A Cable Solutions (TCS) is comprised of Storm Cable and VariSystems, an integrated alliance supplying engineered solutions to challenging cable situations. TCS provides application-specific, multi-core cable, and ruggedized assemblies for a variety of industries.

POSITION SUMMARY

Runs Wire & Cable machines such as extruders, braiders, stripers, bunchers, planetary, re-spoolers, and twinners by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Set-up and operation of machines in accordance to written work instruction and safety protocols.
• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Pushes button or switch to activate machine once set up is complete and verified.
• Observes machine operation to detect machine malfunction and monitor cable quality throughout the process.
• Trouble shooting process problems.
• Willing to receive and provide cross-training in all machine operations.

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

Requires ability to stand for extended periods; walk; use hands to grip and feel and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs. Requires the ability to distinguish colors. Use of safety glasses and safety toe shoes required
