As a Machine Operator, the incumbent should possess the skills, ability, knowledge, and willingness to learn any task within the value stream requested by management with limited supervision, oversight, or guidance. This position is for the second shift (Monday – Thursday) with a 10% shift differential.

Duties Include

1. Actively participate in and abide by Lucas Milhaupt's safety program and policies, including active participation in using the Zero Communication Platform.
2. Engage in Department and Company Lean activities to drive business improvements, quality enhancements, productivity, safety updates, and other Lean initiatives such as 5S and Kaizen events.
3. Set up and operate assigned equipment, communicating Important Steps, Key Points, and Why as provided by training.
4. Understand and execute assigned processes within the department.
5. Perform quality checks as needed.
6. Formulate products according to prescribed recipes and follow defined processing steps efficiently.
7. Package products in prescribed containers and cartons, attaching appropriate labels and documentation.
8. Observe processing operations, make adjustments as needed, and perform in-process quality checks.
9. Organize, store, and maintain all raw materials to ensure proper identity, safety, and inventory levels.
10. Maintain good housekeeping within the work area and keep all equipment clean to prevent contamination and ensure safety.
11. Read and understand the AS400 system.
12. Perform any other tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.
