Job summary

Hood Container Corporation in Covington, KY is hiring a Machine Helper for the 2nd shift (Monday to Thursday, 3:30pm to 2:00am with OT). Starting pay is $18 per hour plus a $1 per hour shift differential.

You will join a team that makes corrugated product from start to finish for national and local customers in food grade, medical, or retail industries. Duties include reading and following supervisor instructions, assisting the crew, keeping the area clean, and documenting production data.

Qualifications

• Six months or more of work experience in a manufacturing operation.
• Prior work around manufacturing machinery.
• Prior work experience in the corrugated industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow supervisor instructions.
• Work with crew as a helper.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Maximize piece-rate speed on tasks.
• Lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Cross-train for other positions as needed.
• Complete Production, Safety, and Quality reports timely.
• Submit equipment work orders for repairs; aid maintenance.
• Switch duties with First Helper when needed.
