Job description

Position Overview

This position is responsible for lubricating and servicing the company's mobile equipment from pickup trucks to haul trucks and assorted paving and construction equipment.

1. Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies.
2. Perform engine oil and fuel system services.
3. Lubricate all lube points on equipment.
4. Identify the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.
5. Examine vehicles and identify any possible maintenance issues.
6. Replace parts such as lights, brakes, bearings, springs, etc.
7. Service items such as gearboxes, hydraulic systems, and engine oils.
8. Perform basic shop clean up (floors, windows, walls, etc.).
9. Empty oil containers and trash containers.
10. Pick up parts and help deliver trucks.
11. Control costs on all repairs.
12. Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as assigned.
13. Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, customers, and the general public at all times.
14. Strict adherence to the Pennsy Supply, Inc. policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
15. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Current driver’s license and reliable source of transportation.
• Must possess a valid CDL Class B license.
• Must submit to a drug screen and criminal background check.

Education/Experience

• Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems is helpful.
• Basic computer skills are needed.
• Experience with diagnostic tools.
• Welding experience preferred.
• Ability to operate various pieces of equipment to test or make necessary repairs.
• Able to work various shifts to meet customer demand.
