Job summary

Bay Cities seeks a 2nd Shift Logistics Coordinator in Pico Rivera, CA, on a temporary-to-potential-hire basis. You will act as a liaison among customer service, freight carriers, and the Bay Cities Logistics Team, coordinating loads and sharing information across departments.

You will communicate with dispatchers/drivers, track load status, and multitask in a dynamic facility environment, with 70% office work and time on the floor. Bilingual ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school or GED required; supervision training is a plus.
• 2-3 years of shipping, warehousing and inventory control experience.
• Knowledge of computer basics.
• Forklift certification required.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English a plus.

Responsibilities

• Update daily records for items at Coastal/Packout facilities and follow up on stock and pallets.
• Schedule common carriers and will calls with the BCL Team and/or carriers.
• Coordinate item outsourcing by creating checklists.
• Send, update, and track information for the Shipping Department.
• Obtain quotes/rates for outside freight when needed.
• Monitor inventory and scheduling changes; determine timing for pickups and warehousing.
