Job summary

Schnellecke Logistics is seeking a Control Tower Team Lead to monitor and coordinate logistics activities, ensuring timely processing of customer orders and shipment execution. You will act as a central hub between operations, dispatch, customers, and leadership, using SAP to track status and documentation.

The role emphasizes proactive issue escalation, operational visibility, and collaboration across departments to maintain service levels and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
• SAP experience required with proficiency in logistics, order management, and shipment tracking functions.
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, warehouse operations, or customer service preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple departments.
• Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment background check, consistent with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening, where permitted by applicable law.

Responsibilities

• Execute company values, policies, procedures, and operational standards in support of Schnellecke Logistics objectives.
• Adhere to all Schnellecke safety principles and wear required PPE on the shop floor and truck yard.
• Follow standard work procedures and safety guidelines for assigned responsibilities.
• Maintain consistent communication with BASF and other stakeholders regarding delivery notes and shipment status.
• Ensure expedited orders are prioritized, picked, processed, and shipped according to customer requirements.
• Verify delivery note information is complete, accurate, and printed prior to shipment release.
• Monitor picking progress and order execution activities to ensure timely completion.
• Escalate operational delays, inventory discrepancies, or process issues to leadership.
• Maintain open communication with dispatch regarding delivery note concerns or shipment issues.
• Utilize SAP and other logistics systems to monitor order status, shipment activity, and inventory movement.
• Track and communicate exceptions, delays, and service risks to stakeholders.
• Support daily operational reporting and documentation requirements.
• Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and customer service.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to delivery processing and logistics activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support business and customer requirements.
