Job summary

Graphic Packaging International, Inc. is seeking a Feeder Operator for the 2nd shift in Marietta, GA. The role requires setting up and running the feeder on the lithographic printing press, assisting with maintenance, and ensuring quality standards are met.

Ideal candidates should have a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and be capable of lifting up to 75 pounds. Compliance with safety standards and flexibility for overtime work is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work other shifts if needed and perform overtime work as required.
• Frequent lifting (up to 75 pounds), bending and turning.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and run the feeder on the lithographic printing press based on the specifications of the job.
• Assist the 2nd Press Operator to hang and/or remove plates.
• Assist in the make-ready of the printing press for the next job.
• Take test readings from fountain solution and aqueous coating.
• Assist the press crew with preventive maintenance activities.
• Participate in any tasks necessary to allow for continuous operation of the process.
• Follow all Plant Safety rules and maintain a safe working environment.
• Monitor the level of quality in the products being produced.
• Comply with all safety and food safety standards.

Skills

Strong mechanical aptitude/skills

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Ability to understand technical written and verbal instructions

Ability to accurately distinguish color variation

Capable of safely operating roll lift trucks
