Job summary

The Timken Company is seeking a Liner Operator in Illinois to perform a variety of functions in the Teflon/Aircraft department. You will bond liners, prep parts for bonding, and inspect finished pieces through trimming and quality checks.

Candidates should have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and strong mechanical aptitude. The role requires careful handling of parts and adherence to safety and productivity standards. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; trades/technical education preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform shop math.
• Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
• Strong communication with coworkers and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Bond liners to parts using presses and equipment per prints and purchase orders.
• Move parts between ovens and stations; prep for arboring and drying adhesive.
• Inspect parts visually and with micrometers during trimming and final checks.
• Operate lathes and knives to trim and finish components safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety throughout the process.
