Job summary

UTRS Advanced Manufacturing is seeking a 2nd Shift Lathe Operator in Fairfield, NJ. This role will keep lathe machines running across the 2nd shift and contribute to a collaborative, quality-focused shop environment.

Responsibilities include operating CNC lathes (Doosan Lynx 220, LSYC, Haas TL1), performing in-process inspections, and maintaining a clean, organized workstation. Candidate must have 1–3 years of CNC experience and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of CNC machining experience.
• Blueprint reading and GD&T proficiency.
• Basic bench-top inspection capabilities.
• Must be a US citizen.

UTRS Advanced Manufacturing (UTRS AM) is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Lathe Operator to join our team! This position is responsible for keeping the lathe machines up and running during our 2nd shift. This position is located at 19 Just Rd in Fairfield, NJ 07004.

What will you be doing?

This position will be a key member of the Lathe Department. Duties include:

• Operating CNC lathes (Doosan Lynx 220, LSYC, Haas TL1).
• Perform in-process quality inspection
• Basic shop responsibilities - cleaning machine at end of shift, organizing workstation.

What skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?

This position will require the following skillsets and experience:

• 1 - 3 years' experience in CNC machining
• Blueprint reading, GD&T
• Basic bench-top inspection
• Must be US Citizen
