Job summary

MGM Products, Inc is seeking a Manufacturing Laser Operator in Henderson, NC. The role involves operating the CNC laser line, reading blueprints, and stacking finished sheets. You will lift up to 160 lbs, set up equipment, and ensure parts meet specifications on a daily basis.

The job requires attention to detail, problem solving, teamwork, and the ability to work independently. Shift: 2nd shift, Mon-Fri, 3:30 PM–12:00 AM; benefits include 401K, dental, life, medical, vision, PTO and holidays.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret technical documentation (blueprints, drawings)
• Lift and handle heavy parts safely (5×10 sheets, ~160 lbs)
• Operate CNC laser to cut parts from metal
• Read work orders and prints to determine specs and tolerances
• Maintain high productivity and meet daily goals
• Perform routine maintenance and housekeeping on equipment
• Operate forklift when required
• Learn and troubleshoot machine issues as they arise

Responsibilities

Job description

Location: Henderson, NC

Shift: 2nd shift Monday - Friday 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM

As a Manufacturing Laser Operator at MGM Products Inc., you will be required to lift, push, or pull 5×10 sheets of metal, averaging 160 lbs. You will be responsible for operating the CNC machine for a variety of parts from small to large. You will need to learn the proper techniques to ensure safe operations, read and understand the cut sheets, stack, and label parts accordingly. A schedule will be provided each day, and it will be up to the operator to run the orders in the most efficient manner. We are looking for people with an eye for detail and a quality‑mindset. This position will also be responsible for operating our Cut‑to‑Length line; the coil line is where our process starts.

Additional Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates equipment to cut parts of sheet metal according to blueprints or product specifications.
• Reads prints, work orders, or production schedules to determine specifications such as quantity, dimensions, and/or tolerances.
• Performs periodic checks on output; measures completed parts to verify conformance to specifications.
• Uses measuring instruments at 100% accuracy.
• Maintains a high level of productivity and produces quality parts; performance is measured by meeting and exceeding daily productivity goals.
• Performs daily preventative maintenance and cleaning tasks to maintain equipment performance and prevent machine downtime.
• Operates forklift: experience preferred but not required.
• Loads coils of metal and cuts to the desired measurement before taking over to the laser.
• Troubleshoots issues; learns and understands the machine and helps solve problems when they arise.
