Job summary

Boston Scientific in Maple Grove, MN is seeking a Manufacturing Technician III for the 2nd shift to support laser cutting production. The role requires ensuring production goals are met with emphasis on quality, cost, delivery, and safety.

The position operates onsite five days a week with a shift from 1:30 pm to 9:30 pm, offering hands-on supervision and collaboration across teams to drive process improvements and product readiness.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Class IV Laser systems experience.
• 3 years of experience as a technician in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot process, material, or equipment problems to minimize downtime.
• Modify existing and develop new tooling and fixtures.
• Revise existing documents, processes, and/or methods to correct or improve processes/product.
• Work with vendors/suppliers to procure and install tooling, fixtures, and/or equipment.
• Assist in writing validation plans, executing plans, and completing validation reports.
• Assist in Value Improvement (VIP) and Employee Involvement Team (EIT) projects, implementing new equipment or processes or improving existing ones for cost savings.
• Collect data and perform statistical analysis for process characterization, Cpk, and scrap reduction goals.
• Work with Process Development to bring new products into production.
• Work with departmental customers to improve material quality and delivery.
• Train and provide technical support or direction to product builders and other technicians.
