Job summary

Inovar Packaging Group is seeking a diligent Quality Control Inspector to inspect and prepare finished label products for shipment, ensuring adherence to customer specifications. The role emphasizes identifying print defects, maintaining accurate records, and operating rewind and inspection equipment in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates will have basic math skills, the ability to read orders, and strong attention to detail, with a focus on teamwork and safety in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Manufacturing or printing experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify print defects.
• Ability to read work orders and customer specifications.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate label rewind and inspection equipment to inspect finished labels prior to shipment.
• Perform 100% visual inspection of printed labels for quality and accuracy.
• Verify customer specifications including color, registration, print quality, variable data, barcode readability, die-cut accuracy, label count, core size, roll direction, and splice requirements.
• Remove defective material and ensure only conforming product is shipped.
• Accurately complete quality documentation and production records.
• Label, package, and prepare finished rolls for shipment according to customer specs.
• Communicate quality concerns to Production, QA, and Supervisors.
• Maintain clean and organized work area.
• Follow safety, GMP, and quality procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste.
