Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with food manufacturing, laboratory, food testing, QA, or related experience; or post-secondary education in food science/biology.
• Up to 1 year of food manufacturing laboratory or QA experience preferred.
• Certification or license may be required during employment such as Better Processing Certificate or antibiotic testing certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality of batch preparation and QC activities.
• Test incoming and outgoing products for compliance with standards.
• Prepare samples and clean up as required.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation as directed.
• Notify supervisor of out-of-range values or quality trends.
