Job summary

Shawmut Infinite LLC in North Carolina is seeking a 2nd Shift Knitting Supervisor to lead the knitting department from 3:30pm to 12:00am. You will supervise daily activities, ensure production goals are met, and maintain a safe, efficient work environment in a fast-paced factory setting.

You will monitor machine performance, coordinate with Quality and R&D to minimize downtime, train new hires, review timecards for payroll, and enforce attendance and safety policies while driving continuous

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing facility or factory environment with hands-on knitting machine operation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of the knitting department during the second shift to meet production goals.
• Monitor knitting machines and address defects quickly, collaborating with Quality and R&D to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Coordinate with Customer Service, Quality, and R&D to prioritize equipment usage and improve processes.
• Review timecards to ensure attendance standards and payroll accuracy.
• Report on-the-job injuries and extended absences to HR in a timely manner.
• Oversee new hire training and ensure completion and sign-off of training paperwork.
• Perform any additional duties as directed by Management.

In this role, you will oversee the knitting operations, ensuring production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. Your leadership will drive quality standards, optimize workflow, and foster a collaborative environment that promotes continuous improvement. Job Duties

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the knitting department during the second shift, ensuring production goals are met.
• Monitor machine performance and address defects quickly, and collaborate with internal Quality team and/or R&D to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Partner with Customer Service, Quality, and R&D teams to prioritize equipment usage, and improve processes.
• Review assigned production team timecards to ensure attendance standards are being met and all records are accurate for the payroll department.
• Ensure all on the job injuries and extended absences are reported to Human Resources timely.
• Oversee all new hire training programs to ensure completion and sign-off of training paperwork.
• Any additional duties not listed above as directed by Management.

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum of (5) years of related leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
• Proven experience working in manufacturing facility or factory environment with hands-on knowledge of knitting machine operation.
