Job summary

RRD is seeking a warehouse/kitting associate to assemble documents and materials into completed kits. You will prep, stock, and organize the workspace, follow packing procedures, and prepare shipments of customer samples. Flexibility with overtime or a different shift is required as production needs evolve.

High school diploma or GED preferred, with prior warehouse or kitting experience. Reading specs, basic math, and strong communication are essential for accurate order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior warehouse or kitting experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret job specifications and identifying the correct parts for fulfilling customer orders.
• Basic communication skills (written and/or verbal).
• Basic knowledge of routine packing procedures, techniques, equipment and general warehouse procedures.
• Able to stock, move, arrange, and rotate items in accordance with operating instructions or under guidance of a higher-level employee.
• Able to complete appropriate forms relating to stock description, quantity, unit of issue, and the labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing materials.
• Skill in assembling standard shipping boxes and packing contents securely.
• Basic arithmetic to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Must be willing to flex schedule to meet the needs of production, including working overtime or a different shift, if needed.
• Must be able to use a ladder to pick items or to retrieve boxes or materials.
• Must be able to stand all shift
• Other duties as requested.

Responsibilities

• Assemble documents and materials into completed kits.
• Pre-assembly duties: prepping boxes, stocking the area, gathering materials, and organizing the workspace.
• Follow procedures to perform routine packing and collate materials.
• Pick and package a variety of printed materials or related items per customer specifications.
• Assemble finished products into boxes or containers for shipping.
• Count and sort inventory as required.
• Prepare shipments of customer samples.
• Other duties as assigned.
