Job summary

Lakeshore Recycling Systems is seeking a Journeyman Mechanic on the 2nd shift (3:00pm–12:00am) to troubleshoot and repair heavy vehicles and industrial equipment, interpreting work orders and ensuring timely maintenance.

Under the Shop Manager, you will diagnose faults, overhaul components, replace parts, and maintain equipment while following safety standards and company policies. This role rewards hands-on technicians with strong problem-solving and physical stamina.

Qualifications

• Heavy vehicle and industrial equipment maintenance experience required.
• Able to read work orders and technical manuals.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Physically able to lift up to 70–75 pounds.
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, repairs and overhauls heavy vehicles and industrial equipment
• Interprets work orders and technical manuals
• Keeps equipment cleaned, lubricated and maintained
• Diagnoses faults or malfunctions
• Adjusts equipment and repairs or replaces defective parts, components or systems
• Obey all workplace health and safety and code of conduct workplace rules
• Undertake the training and assessment required under the training plan
