An established industry player is seeking dedicated individuals to operate jockey trucks and manage trailer transfers within their processing area. Transfers full trailers from the holding areas to the processing area and then transfers empty trailers from the processing area to designated parking spaces, including regular rotation to other positions within the department. May or may not require a CDL license.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Reading and writing skills required. Must have a valid Class D driver’s license. Must obtain a forklift license through company training. May require a CDL license.
Works outdoors year-round in seasonal temperatures with noise exposure of 96.2 dB; light intensity of less than 5' candles. In plant environments, exposure includes wet and moist floors, metal and plastic grating surfaces, temperatures from 28°F to 100°F, and humidity up to 100%. May handle products at 25°F to 50°F. Exposure to noise ranges of 50 dB to 110 dB, dust, feathers, and chemicals used in poultry processing. Must wear protective equipment as directed. Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors (10 ppm) and chlorine (less than 20 ppm). Able to stand for several hours, lift 35-65 lbs, reach, bend, push boxes, and operate a stand-up lift for extended periods.
