Job summary

Eastern Metal Supply in Florida is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk responsible for maintaining accurate records through cycle counting, shipment verification, and discrepancy investigation. This role supports purchasing and helps ensure inventory integrity, safety, and efficiency in a warehouse environment.

You will verify receipts against orders, process adjustments, and maintain documentation. The job requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn ERP/inventory systems.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular cycle counts of materials as scheduled.
• Verify incoming and existing inventory against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Research inventory discrepancies and generate accurate inventory reports.
• Assist in determining root causes of inventory discrepancies and support corrective actions.
• Measure, process, and label materials with correct identification and traceability.
• Examine materials for defects or damage and report findings.
• Prepare and maintain documentation related to discrepancies, damaged material, and returned goods, including RMA paperwork.
• Enter and update material transactions accurately in the computer system.
• Maintain accurate and organized inventory records and reports.
• Provide backup support to the Purchasing Department as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety policies including proper PPE.
