Job summary

O'Neil Digital Solutions is seeking an Inserter Machine Operator for the 2nd shift to set up, operate, and maintain inserting equipment for mailings and catalogs. The role requires reading job tickets, adjusting outputs, and ensuring accuracy while adhering to safety rules.

The ideal candidate has printing/mail inserting experience, strong reliability, and the ability to supervise helpers when needed. This on-site position includes physical demands and teamwork within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate, or completion of GED preferred.
• Two years of experience in printing or mail inserting environment preferred (operating either Pitney Bowes, Kern or Bell and Howell Inserters is a plus).
• Perform all work and activities with honesty and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Set up inserting equipment at the beginning of each job according to the specifications provided on the job ticket.
• Insert address tags into mail sacks, or mail trays used for bulk mailing of ID cards, kits, and catalogs.
• Maintain equipment, troubleshoot problems, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Keep work area in order and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Able to read postal statements and sort mail accordingly.
• Make adjustments as required to return output to the proper specifications.
• Direct and supervise the work of helpers on the machine.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department manager.
• Communicates status of jobs to department manager.
• Follow standard operating procedures according to the department's guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
