Job summary

Viant in Wisconsin is seeking an Engineering Technician to troubleshoot, repair and maintain hydraulic, electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems supporting injection molding and automation. You will perform preventive maintenance on molding machines and support core equipment to keep production safe and efficient.

Responsibilities include repairing machinery, servicing robotics and material handling gear, and reading complex drawings.

Qualifications

Strong mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance skills.
Proficient in welding, electronics, air compressors, machine shop, hydraulics and electrical maintenance.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and diagrams.
Prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision.
Diagnose equipment malfunctions where information may be limited.

Responsibilities

Repair, maintain and troubleshoot injection molding machines, automation, auxiliary equipment, grinders and dryers.
Dismantle and inspect parts, rebuild and overhaul machine components.
Service and maintain robotics, hoists and material handling equipment.
Maintain plant systems including plumbing, HVAC, ventilation and compressors.
Perform electrical repairs and diagnose electrical/electronic malfunctions.
Work from drawings, plans and layouts.
Perform preventive maintenance with precision instruments.
Handle other projects and tasks as assigned.
