Job summary

Micron Solutions in Fitchburg, MA is seeking a 2nd shift Injection Molding Process Technician to set up and troubleshoot injection molding machines. You will perform mold changes, monitor processes, and keep production running safely and efficiently, with exposure to robotics and automated equipment.

Ideal candidates have hands-on injection molding experience, strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently on 2nd shift (3:00 PM–11:00 PM).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Hands-on injection molding processing experience.
• Experience setting up and troubleshooting injection molding machines.
• Experience performing mold changes and machine setups.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, start, and troubleshoot injection molding machines.
• Perform mold and job changeovers.
• Set up and troubleshoot auxiliary equipment.
• Respond to machine alarms and processing issues.
• Make process adjustments within established parameters.
• Monitor cycle times, machine performance, and process stability.
• Troubleshoot basic robotics and automation issues.
• Complete required production and process documentation.
• Identify opportunities to reduce scrap and improve efficiency.
• Work with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality to resolve manufacturing issues.
