Job summary

General Super Plating Co., Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Mechanic to support production during evenings, with overtime on weekdays and weekends during peak season. The role requires industrial maintenance experience and the ability to work with electrical and mechanical systems in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting plant equipment, reading blueprints, and ensuring safety practices while meeting customer specifications.

Qualifications

• Broad training in a related field, usually high school education or equivalent.
• Job-related experience for 4 years minimum.
• On-the-job and classroom training.
• Working knowledge of equipment nomenclature, mechanical devices, transmission systems, AC/DC motors, wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Ability to train personnel and use basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to read computer interfaces, digital devices, and operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Complies with safety practices and completes required training.
• Optimizes production processes.
• Installs and maintains air compressors, plant air circulation, cooling/heating, and lighting systems.
• Performs preventative maintenance on electrical systems, equipment, and facility.
• Troubleshoots, repairs, installs, moves, or dismantles machinery and equipment.
• Analyzes blueprints and schematics; estimates loads and required support equipment.
