Job summary

SURGE Staffing is seeking an experienced Multicraft Maintenance Technician for Cambridge, OH. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment to maximize uptime and safety in a heavy manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate has strong electrical and mechanical skills, PLC familiarity, and the ability to read schematics and blueprints. A high school diploma or GED is required, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in heavy manufacturing/industrial maintenance.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• PLCs preferred; experience with control systems a plus.
• Experience with hand/power tools and precision measurement hardware.
• Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Clear English communication and basic math skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team; safety-focused.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and identify root causes of issues.
• Complete preventive maintenance, repairs, and changeovers.
• Read blueprints and electrical schematics; follow manuals.
• Operate cranes or forklifts as required and keep the area safe.
