Job summary

OMG Inc. in western Massachusetts is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the 2nd shift in the Heat Treat Department. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on fastener production equipment, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and participate in equipment upgrades to boost uptime and safety.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience, reads schematics, and can follow OSHA standards. Forklift certification is preferred, and MS Office skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience including industrial troubleshooting and repair.
• Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams.
• Familiarity with hydraulics and basic welding/cutting procedures.
• Positive attitude, good judgment, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety as the top priority and comply with OSHA standards.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on production and packing equipment.
• Provide emergency/unScheduled maintenance as needed.
• Assist with equipment setup for scheduled production runs and machine changes.
• Fabricate repair parts, tooling, and safety guards as requested.
• Read work orders and manuals to perform maintenance tasks.
