Job summary

OMG Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support our Agawam, MA manufacturing facility.

The role performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on fastener production equipment, implements improvements, and ensures safety standards are met to keep production running smoothly. Responsibilities include mechanical repairs, equipment setup for runs, and collaboration with maintenance teams to boost productivity.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience, including industrial troubleshooting and repair.
• Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams.
• Experience with hydraulics, welding, cutting, and machine setup.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety as the #1 priority for OMG employees.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on production and packing equipment.
• Provide emergency/unplanned maintenance as required.
• Assist with setup of equipment for scheduled production runs.
• Assist with machine rebuilds, installations, and moves.
• Fabricate repair parts, safety guards, and tooling as requested.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on production lines.
• Read manuals and work orders to perform maintenance and service.
