Job summary

The Krusteaz Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the Effingham team on the 2nd shift. The role focuses on reducing downtime by diagnosing and fixing mechanical, electrical, and PLC related issues in a food manufacturing environment.

You will interpret blueprints, perform machining and fabrication tasks, operate maintenance software, and work with cross-functional teams to improve equipment reliability while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Food manufacturing experience is desired.
• Exposure to PLC, SLC 500/PLC5/RS Logics/Device Net preferred.
• Exposure to AC and DC motors, VFD and VSD drive experience preferred.
• Relevant trade or technical school training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support production by bringing equipment to base condition through a variety of Industrial Maintenance functions.
• Interpret blueprints, fabricate metal, perform plumbing, pneumatic and millwright activities and display an understanding of motors and drives.
• Collaborate with production staff to enhance the reliability of production equipment and completion of repair tasks in a manner that minimizes reactive downtime.
• Troubleshoot, operate maintenance software and hand-held devices, attend meetings and complete paperwork.
