Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to keep our facility clean, functional, and safe while performing daily repairs and preventive maintenance on production machinery.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical systems, maintaining conveyors and hydraulic/pneumatic components, and documenting service activities. A strong safety mindset and teamwork are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial production machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
• Must work on-site as a self-starter in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facilities, buildings and assets in a cost-effective manner.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including servos, PLCs, sensors, and motors.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair conveyors, saws, gearboxes, bearings, and hydraulic/pneumatic components.
• Document maintenance activities and maintain service records.
• Recommend and maintain inventory of critical spare parts for continuous operation.
• Adhere to safety requirements and report defects immediately.
