Job summary

Jobot is hiring a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician for our high-volume food manufacturing facility in Manchester, TN. This on-site, permanent role focuses on hands-on troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and rapid response to equipment downtime to ensure food safety and uptime.

The ideal candidate has a solid Electrical/Mechanical background, performs welding, reads schematics, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting production machinery.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to weld using TIG, MIG, and/or Stick processes.
• Ability to read schematics and hydraulic/pneumatic drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Comfortable working in temperatures around 50-60°F.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair production machinery and equipment.
• Respond to production-line breakdowns and equipment issues.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
• Diagnose hydraulic and pneumatic equipment issues.
• Repair or replace defective equipment components.
• Perform TIG, MIG, and Stick welding as needed.
• Read mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and equipment schematics.
• Identify recurring equipment problems and develop permanent solutions.
• Maintain accurate preventative maintenance and repair records.
• Assist with parts and maintenance supply needs.
• Follow plant safety, OSHA, GMP, and food-quality procedures.
