Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in East Peoria, IL is seeking an Industrial Electrician for the 2nd shift to build, install and repair electrical and electronic circuits used on machine tools and plant equipment.

You will test and diagnose malfunctions while applying knowledge of electronic units and systems. Daily tasks include calibrating instruments, troubleshooting relay logic, CNC/PLC controlled machines and assisting with new equipment installations.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience, or equivalent before performing intermediate tasks on electrical and electronic machinery.
• Ability to interpret schematics and electrical diagrams.
• Demonstrate proficiency in electrical theory and applying it to plant operations and equipment.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Build, install, repair electrical and electronic circuits used on machine tools and plant equipment.
• Test faulty equipment and diagnose malfunctions using appropriate instruments.
• Calibrate and service electronic testing instruments.
• Troubleshoot and repair relay logic machines and CNC/PLC controlled machines.
• Support electrical aspects of new equipment installation.
