Job summary

United Dairy is seeking a 2nd shift Sanitation Operator to ensure equipment is clean, sanitized, and ready for ice cream production. Responsibilities include following sanitation schedules, using PPE, and adhering to SQF and GMP standards.

You will disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble equipment, with a focus on safety, quality, and teamwork in a cold manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.
• Experience in food manufacturing preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly.
• Read, write and communicate in English.
• Be a self-starter and take initiative.
• Willing to work overtime and stay productive.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, sanitize and re-assemble manufacturing equipment.
• Follow sanitation schedules and safety guidelines (SQF, GMP, LOTO).
• Handle chemicals with proper PPE and storage procedures.
• Inspect area after cleaning to ensure sanitation is complete.
• Maintain hygiene and readiness of equipment for production.
• May assist in training new hires and mentor teammates.
• Work as part of a team with high productivity in a cold environment.
