Job summary

Gregory Poole Equipment Company seeks a Hydraulic Specialist I for the 2nd shift to diagnose, repair and rebuild hydraulic cylinder components. The role emphasizes safe operation and adherence to PPE while handling heavy parts and using hoists and cranes.

Experience with Cat or similar heavy equipment is preferred. The position focuses on restoring equipment to proper operation, with daily duties including diagnostics, repairs, and documentation in customer work orders.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED required (minimum).
• Six years of related experience, with at least two years on Cat or similar equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, rebuild hydraulic cylinder parts & restore equipment to proper operation.
• Prepare work/repairs and comply with PPE requirements.
• Use pallet jacks, lift trucks, overhead cranes and other aids to move parts.
• Install, replace, rebuild, test and adjust components as needed.
• Pressure wash and repaint components; document repairs in record systems.
• Disassemble/assemble parts with tools and utilize hoists and powered equipment for repairs.
• Operate grinding, honing, boring, drilling, and polishing to refurbish parts and reassemble units.
