Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA seeks an HVAC Technician - 2nd Shift to maintain critical manufacturing facilities. You will work with infrastructure engineers and technicians, performing preventative maintenance, repairs and modifications to HVAC systems, air handlers, chillers and related equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma and 3+ years HVAC experience, ability to read schematics, and comfort with lifting, climbing and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years HVAC experience.
• Ability to read, interpret schematics and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, managers, and customers to maintain systems in peak operating condition.
• Maintain and repair HVAC equipment including air handlers, chillers, pumps, valves and filters.
• Perform ductwork modifications, brazing, soldering, evacuation & charging of refrigerants, piping and insulation.
