Ability to lead, mentor, and direct plant personnel in daily operations. Proven experience setting clear expectations and holding team members accountable. Promotes a strong safety culture, empowering employees to report unsafe conditions or behaviors. Conducts routine safety briefings and ensures proper PPE and safety protocols are followed.
Deep understanding of aggregate plant operations, material flow, and production scheduling. Hands‑on leadership style—frequently walks the plant/pit to monitor progress and engage with the team. Coordinates personnel, equipment, and materials to meet production goals and deadlines. Adjusts work plans in real time to respond to changes or unplanned events.
Manages daily production output, ensuring materials meet customer and quality specifications. Identifies process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime. Tracks production KPIs and ensures alignment with operational targets.
Ability to identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Works closely with maintenance teams to implement repair plans and scheduled maintenance. Directs emergency response actions during breakdowns to minimize production impact.
Thorough knowledge of MSHA, OSHA, and environmental regulations. Ensures all activities meet compliance standards and internal safety policies. Conducts inspections to identify hazards and oversees corrective actions.
Strong communication skills to coordinate with superintendents, maintenance, dispatch, and quality control. Provides regular updates to leadership on operations, challenges, and resource needs. Maintains open communication across shifts to ensure continuity of operations.
Fosters a culture of continuous improvement through innovation and efficiency. Identifies training opportunities to build team skills and enhance performance. Participates in budget planning and manages operations to meet monthly cost goals.
