Job summary

Elmet Technologies is hiring a Hot Press Machine Operator for the 2nd shift in Coldwater, Michigan. You will operate specialized hot press equipment to produce high‑quality metal products, set up machinery, monitor processes, and inspect materials.

Qualifications

• Hands-on manufacturing experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn specialized equipment.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures.
• Basic math skills and ability to complete production documentation.
• Experience using measuring or inspection equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor hot press equipment according to established work instructions and production requirements.
• Load and unload materials while safely handling parts, tooling, and production equipment.
• Monitor temperature, pressure, cycle times, and other process parameters to maintain consistent product quality.
• Make equipment or process adjustments as needed within established operating procedures.
• Perform in-process inspections and verify products meet required specifications.
• Identify equipment or process issues and communicate concerns to Production, Maintenance, or Quality.
• Complete production, quality, material, and equipment documentation accurately.
• Perform routine equipment inspections, cleaning, and basic operator maintenance.
• Follow established safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work with team members to support production schedules and quality requirements.
