Job summary

Kenworth Sales Company in Harrisonburg, VA is seeking a Service Technician (2nd Shift) to perform high-quality repairs on customer equipment and recommend additional services as needed.

The role requires 5+ years of heavy truck repair experience, state inspection certification or willingness to obtain it, and a valid CDL or willingness to obtain one. Paccar, Cummins, and CAT certifications are preferred. Shift: 3:30pm–Midnight.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in medium and/or heavy truck repair and maintenance.
• VA State Inspector's certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Valid Class A or B CDL or willingness to obtain one.
• Paccar, Cummins, and CAT Certifications or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

• Receives repair order assignments from Shop Foreman.
• Performs work in order and maintains high workmanship standards.
• Advises Shop Foreman of recommended changes in services requested by customer.
• Determines if further repairs should be recommended and communicates to Shop Foreman.
• Maintains training with equipment and servicing techniques; attends trainings.
• Maintains accurate work order records of work performed and time clocked.
