Job summary

Kress Corporation in Brimfield, IL is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for the 2nd shift to join our team building specialized industrial equipment for steel, construction, and mining industries.

The role requires 2+ years of heavy equipment assembly experience, ability to read blueprints, and fluency with hand tools; prior mechanic experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years previous experience in heavy equipment assembly strongly preferred
• Ability to read blueprints required
• Previous heavy machinery experience preferred
• Fluency with various hand tools
• Prior mechanic experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies in accordance with provided blueprints
• Assemble a wide array of components used in heavy equipment (i.e. hydraulic and electrical systems, cabs, axles, and powertrains) per prints and assembly instructions
• Experienced assemblers commission and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
