Job summary

Kress Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for the 1st shift in Brimfield, IL. This full-time role builds components for heavy equipment by following blueprints, assembling subsystems, and verifying layouts to meet precise specifications.

The successful candidate will read blueprints, use hand tools, and troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems while maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Competitive hourly pay and extensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years experience in heavy equipment assembly preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints required.
• Fluency with various hand tools.
• Previous heavy machinery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies in accordance with provided blueprints.
• Assemble a wide array of components used in heavy equipment (i.e. hydraulic and electrical systems, cabs, axles, and powertrains) per prints and assembly instructions.
• Experienced assemblers commission and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
