Job summary

JBS USA is seeking a Machine Operator GL3 for the 2nd shift. The role begins at $20 per hour with a $1 shift differential. Associates will perform precise adjustments, basic troubleshooting, and program modifications as needed to meet production and customer specifications.

As a final quality checkpoint, you will ensure food safety and GMP compliance while keeping a clean, safe work area. Overtime may be required to meet production demands.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in General Production 2.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• 2+ years’ production industry experience preferred.
• Must be able to understand and comply with company, plant, and safety rules/policies.
• Basic understanding of production and procedures.
• Ability to use knives, saws, and a variety of machinery.
• Ability to lift, load, cut and package product.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work area for pre- and post-operational activities.
• Load, unload, and transfer product to and from equipment and/or conveyors.
• Monitor production lines, identify issues, supply and replenish packaging materials as necessary.
• Sort, weigh, wrap, label, verify or measure product to meet specifications.
• Inspect and remove defective products and/or packaging materials from the process.
• Arrive at workstation prepared to perform tasks at scheduled times and maintain shift until completion.
• Set up, tear down of equipment and select pre-determined settings.
• Operate pallet jack/riders/forklift equipment and perform Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
