Job summary

JBS USA is seeking an hourly Machine Operator GL3 for the 2nd shift. The role involves precise adjustments, basic troubleshooting, and programming changes to meet production needs while serving as the last quality checkpoint before products reach customers.

Candidates must follow food safety, GMP, and quality standards and communicate information effectively. Benefits align with a food production environment, and overtime may be required when scheduled.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2+ years’ production industry experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Proficient in General Production 2.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work area for pre- and post-operational activities.
• Load, unload, and transfer product to and from equipment and conveyors.
• Monitor production lines; identify issues; replenish packaging materials as necessary.
• Sort, weigh, wrap, label, verify or measure product to meet product specifications.
• Inspect and remove defective products and/or packaging materials from the process.
• Arrive at your workstation prepared to perform tasks at a scheduled time and stay until work is done.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Set up, tear down of equipment, adjust settings, and use proper lifting techniques.
• Perform safety checks and operate pallet jack/forklift as required.
• Perform Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
• Modify and create program settings to meet production standards.
• Provide machine adjustments and troubleshooting when required.
• Other duties as assigned.
