Job summary

Veritas Steel in Palatka, FL is seeking 2nd Shift and Weekend General Labor to perform grinding, drilling, and shop cleanup under supervision. This full-time manual labor role includes a weekend 36-hour shift paid for 40 hours, with night shift details and double time after 50 hours.

We prioritize safety, production quality, and teamwork. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, can read metric tapes, and is committed to attendance and safety policies. Welding experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Uses proper safety equipment to ensure surfaces are adequately prepared for all operations
• Maintain shop, equipment, tools, vehicles, etc. for the purpose of ensuring the availability and functioning of required items and ensuring safety
• Coordinate with shop supervisor and other personnel for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently, on time, and with no defects
• Assist others as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities
• Adhere to safety policies to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and surrounding coworkers
• Perform other related duties as assigned
