McConway and Torley in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Foundry Supervisor for the 2nd shift to manage the core room and mold line, including staffing, safety, and production paperwork.

You will lead a team, hire/train operators, ensure tooling and schedules compliance, and drive continuous improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste while coordinating with engineering and maintenance.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 3 years in tooling maintenance or related manufacturing experience.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Associate’s degree or applicable related work experience.

Aufgaben

• Hire, train, and coach machine operators and mold assemblers.
• Hold employees accountable for established policies and processes.
• Support operators and maintenance personnel with troubleshooting.
• Complete required safety, quality, and production paperwork for the shift.
• Communicate issues and escalate them to management as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements.
• Inspect and verify pattern and core box work to confirm tooling accuracy.
• Read and interpret foundry schedules to plan daily core room and/or mold line operations.
• Partner with safety and process engineering to develop and maintain standard work procedures.
• Work with design and engineering to improve tooling and processes.
• Implement process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Coordinate with tooling and engineering to maintain accurate inventory of critical pattern and core box maintenance supplies.
