Job summary

Furmano Foods in Northumberland, PA is hiring a Floater Laborer for the production line on 2nd shift. The role involves unloading beans, preparing pork, and filling in various line positions as needed to keep production moving.

The ideal candidate will be adaptable, accurate, and able to communicate with supervisors and coworkers, while following GMPs and completing required training. Health benefits and job stability are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be adaptable.
• Must be accurate.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors, Line Techs, Lab Techs and other operators.
• Must be able to read all MMFs, SOPs, and other work instructions.
• Must be able to complete daily documentation accurately.
• Be able to retain job knowledge and skills while not operating equipment daily.

Responsibilities

• Unload Beans, cut pork, dump beans, fill in any position on pouch line, operator blender as assigned.
• Learn additional production jobs and fill in as needed.
• Scan all raw material using Assistics software.
• Operate a forklift.
• Follow GMPs associated with this position.
• Maintain a positive teamwork atmosphere by actions, communicating and helping co-workers.
• Must complete required annual Training and required annual challenge testing.
• Other jobs as assigned by supervisor.
