Job Description

Fork lift operators with 6 months prior forklift experience.

Assists in movement of product within the distribution process by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Unloading/loading of inbound, outbound and transfer trailers.
  • Moving of product from one area to another.
  • Have the ability to work in temperatures ranging from zero to minus twenty degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Keep dock floors and equipment clear of debris including but not limited to stretch wrap, wood, dust, snow, ice and exposed product.
  • Up-stacking or down-stacking of product for storage, loading and inventories.
  • Pass all requirements to be a PIE operator for OK Foods.
  • Maintain an absentee rate of 5% or less.

Supervisory responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
  • Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
