Job summary

Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc. is seeking forklift operators for a full-time, 2nd shift position with a $1.00 shift differential.

You will drive an industrial forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, and move products and materials to designated areas. Key duties include positioning forks, unloading and stacking, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring materials are available for production and shipments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Must have previous forklift experience
• Lumber experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
• Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area.
• Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
• Inventories materials on work floor, and supplies workers with materials as needed
• Keeps record of inventory.
