Job summary

CHEP Services, LLC is seeking a TPM Operator to sort and move pallets safely in a busy facility. Use forklift and basic maintenance, perform pre-operation inspections, support loading/unloading, and uphold safety protocols.

This role requires experience in industrial environments, certification preferred, ability to work independently and in a team, and willingness to work rotating day shifts with health benefits and company matches.

Qualifications

• Experience in an industrial, fast-paced environment with industrial equipment.
• Proven forklift experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures for forklift operations.
• Valid forklift operator certification is preferred.
• Ability to complete tasks on time with attention to detail.
• Ability to understand and communicate information effectively.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong communication, tool handling, observation, critical thinking, problem solving and time management skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a changing environment.
• Good hand-eye coordination and willingness to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform pallet sorting from loading docks to the sort line/area, removing debris and determining pallet quality.
• Operate the forklift to move pallets, containers and materials throughout the plant facility.
• Conduct a pre-operation inspection of the forklift and report issues to maintenance.
• Assist in loading and unloading trucks or containers with pallets using the forklift, ensuring proper placement and securing.
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear PPE daily, reporting hazards to supervisors.
• Perform basic forklift maintenance tasks as required.
